I spent the greater part of my industrial career as a Chemical Engineer, holding supervisory and managerial positions in the UK chemical and
manufacturing sector. I moved into Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
management and quickly rose to the position of Corporate Regional
(EMEA) EHS Manager for a large US multi-national.
In Dec 1999, I created and
published the first global e-Book for EHS (SMART for EHS©®) and developed bespoke software (GIOTTO©®) for performance
measurement and management.
In May 2007, I became an independent consutant and founded
SaferWorking.com and Traningfactor.com offering online EHS support services to
the global community with a view to increasing awareness on Safety
and Environment related issues. Working with associates and close colleagues, we also provide on-site support services to a host of Clients in the private sector.
During
the course of my career to date, I believe that I have gained a solid
reputation and recognition for my work and in this regard I continue to support major blue-chip Clients primarily in the
Oil and Gas Sector providing technical evaluation, training, coaching,
mentoring and advising senior leadership in high risk and high profile
companies and industries around the globe.
I have on several ocassions spoken at many global industry conferences on
Leadership, Behaviour Based Safety, cultural diversity and Management
